Our Story
Founded in 1946 by James Bach, Royal Furniture began humbly in the downtown Memphis mall as a single storefront. From its beginning, Royal Furniture has expanded into the leading furniture company in the Mid-South with 12 locations including a Memphis-based warehouse serving 6 states and is consistently recognized as of one the top retailers in America based on sales per square-foot.
Our Service
Royal Furniture was founded on the tenet of providing exceptional value to its customers. Although Royal has expanded its product lines since its inception to include designer looks and name brand products, the company still strives to provide the same value to its customer as it did in 1946. Through Royal Credit in-house financing, we provide more accommodating financing options for our customers than any other furniture store and Royal's superior customer service has led to more than 250,000 repeat customers since 1992.

Royal's 12 showrooms offer a combined 324,500 square-feet of selection for furniture, mattress, and appliance shoppers: Cordova (35,000 sq ft), Jackson, TN. (30,000 sq ft), Memphis-Summer Ave. (41,000 sq ft), Memphis-Winchester (38,000 sq ft), Memphis-Whitehaven (30,000 sq ft), Southaven, MS (30,000 sq ft), Memphis-Lamar (10,000 sq ft), Memphis-Royal Outlet (23,000 sq ft), Birmingham-Trussville (22,500 sq. ft.), Birmingham-Hoover (35,000 sq. ft.), Tuscaloosa (30,000 sq. ft.) and our newest location in Montgomery, Alabama. Our 400,000 square-foot distribution facility boasts the most expansive in-stock inventory and technology in the Mid-South allowing Royal to offer its customers fast delivery on their new furniture.
